I start every piece by picking up a color of blue. Lighter or darker, each layer and splatter of color develop the sky in unexpected ways. Layering newspaper and wood veneer, I create my landscapes, usually from a memory. The final product is always a surprise as my process demands I go with the flow and allow nature to take its course.
Growing up in an artistic home, I studied art history at the University of Michigan and used my creativity throughout my marketing career. I began producing art in 2023 from my studio lofted above a woodworking shop in Capitol Hill, Seattle. I'm grateful to share my work here in Port Angeles, so close to where I find my inspiration.
