Pink Fin Photography

I grew up and currently reside in Hoquiam, Washington with my husband and three children.

Having always had a relationship with water and a love for photography, I scraped together the funds to purchase a used camera and compatible waterproof housing case in 2020, that I’m still using today. My shots in the ocean almost always reflect my feelings on land, and I (cautiously) love sharing that piece of my heart with others.

My work embodies a variety of natural colors, light, and moods. Although I print on various mediums, my favorite is canvas--the soft texture of the canvas combined with the raw power of the ocean captures the essence of who I am.

When I’m in the water, the distractions of the world fade away. When I’m looking through my lens in the water, the chaos of life--my anxiety, my insecurities, all the things--they’re all gone. I wish I had the words to describe the meaning and depth of my photos, I really do. However, providing the words almost takes away the meaning of each shot. I love that no one experiences my pictures the same way, just like no one experiences life the same way.
